SCRAPHAPPY / LOAD222 / "OUR BITTERSWEET REUNION"/ LAYOUT PROCESS

FEATURED DESIGNER LOAD222 Day#28:

Congrats, you are all winners in my book. And I am very proud of you all LOAD'STERS 💖💖💖... See my process Below....

And Finish Strong.... You got this...

----Click  on the image to go to the website----

Let's Dive In The Prompts For TODAY:

The Theme:              Friends Reunion.

Story Prompt:          In the Friends Reunion we learn what each character has been up to since the last episode. Time warp... create a now and then page about yourself now and you from the past!    Even   better if you include friends from now and then.

Technique Prompt:   Use a split layout design.

My Layout:

-LOAD222 Day #28_Featured Layout by Emine Pala_Pazan-
--OUR BITTERSWEET REUNIONS--

This layout I created for this LAST day, is a really hard story to tell. Yet I intentionally choose to tell one of the hardest stories of my life, in a way that it doesn't appear that way. Healing me in the process. The story of MY many many BITTERSWEET REUNIONS with my Dear Daughters, I had to gave up for their safety. Our reality THEN & unfortunately Still our reality NOW...

With 1 Major difference though, WE ARE SAFE. And our bond is stronger then ever.

In short;
The bright colors, A lot of Splitting (the technique + the story prompt translated into the colors and THE MOST PRECIOUS MOMENT captured in these photographs, elements, techniques, words) makes up the my whole storytelling.
The fun elements makes it fit the theme perfectly. To me at least, because it is my story to tell and I choose how and in what way I want to tell it. With a lot of Gratitude in the end.

Sidenote:
I want to be honest though, it took me quite some time to finish this 12x12 page (I got also Covid for the 2nd time UGH). That wasn't the only problem. I found myself going through the stages of Grief that surfaced while I was working on this layout.
Memorykeeping is truly a healing journey. I am proud with the end result. A tribute for the love as a Mother for my Children. Very Grateful. Thank you so much @Alice for giving me the prompt I needed so much in my life, that I even didn't know I needed.

I also try to cut everything as much as I can by hand... Designed my own circle templates, no punches required here LOL. I did use a Masking Stencil, Stickers, Chipboard Gears, Metallic Relief Paste (Will link the supplies down below this post).

What really stood out to me, was the word "Reunion" + all the other ORANGE marked words. (The Bitter Part) and the Friends Tv Show, the bond they have (The Sweet Part).... Yet the other word friends is in a soft pink/red-ish color. (you will see the colors in the design itself) Why? I knew what story I wanted to tell. But not a story about friendship. Much deeper then that.

The questions was HOW could I tell this story, without really telling it? Without it being too Heavy? I decided to let the pictures and a couple of words tell the story for me.

I was also inspired by the GEARS (from the song-lyrics) to create this nice effect of a split design. Life is not a straight line right? why would my design be a straight split LOL.

-I layered the chipboard Embossed Clock onto the chipboard-
Gears, with a tiny black brad in the middle...

This is kind of how my brain works, when I get a prompt.

That's why I am really bad at the fast-paced challenges, due to the fact that I am analyzing every part of it. (I need to work on it, I know) Play with different shapes and sizes before I find the perfect way that supports the way I want to tell my story.

But I can participate with mixed-media or JunkJournalling/Art-journalling, right ? LOL....

It's almost midnight here in the Netherlands right now. So I will set the time for this blogpost to air on the correct date and time. But I do need to include a supply list.... (even created a video I need to edit)...

I WISH YOU ALL GOOD LUCK...

2 LO'S FOR LOAD221 + I FINALLY FOUND IT...

...THE PERFECT COMMUNITY FOR ME

Scrapsmarter Event (I won the LOAD here)
Scrapsmarter Event was AMAZING (I won the LOAD here)

Scraphappy is the community I was desperately searching for after I returned to scrapbooking/SCRAP-MIXING a long time ago. But nothing really fit my needs after 2PEAS.com has shut his doors.

And now finally, finally I found the community I can truly connect with. Where I can be myself, where I get challenged and be heard. Where everyone, no matter what kind of a scrapbooker they are or how experienced they are or not are welcome. And get featured.

It's incredible how warm the hostess Alice Boll is and makes us feel
so comfortable. And Laugh. She's just the sweetest and all the community members are so talented and KIND. It almost feels like coming HOME to a place where they get me + my passion for creating.

Especially in this time of lockdown and Isolation. After all the hospital visits due to having Corona myself + the long time (6 months I guess) it takes for me to still recover from it. This has saved me.  Winning the LOAD (LayOut A Day) challenge, gave me a reason to create. And Creating = Healing to me. I am forever grateful to all of you.

LOAD221/2 Photoshoot Alara lo, both prompts used

With that I want to encourage you all to go and visit this incredible community with the biggest prizes, LOTS of FUN, CHALLENGES, above all Creating, Learning, Healing, Kindness and JOY... That right there is  priceless... Check it out for yourself... Try one of the FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE sessions. You won't regret it.

1. Write on Journaling

2. calvinball

3. Scrapsmarter Free Sessions

Well, try it out and let me know what you think. See ya over there.

RANDOM WEDNESDAY

Scrapbooking can be therapeutic. At least IT IS TO ME. I'm glad that i found this hobby. It helps me to be a happier person. Why would someone want me to quit with it? Ofcourse because they don't scrapbook :( I'm lucky that I have friends and my husband in my life. I love them more then I can ever explain in words.
Remember that I was talking about a very cool agenda. Here it is... My hubby took the picture just before I left to ede. I will post better pictures of it. I think this is the coolest alterable agenda I ever saw. . . How cool is that stitched cover?

Aw signs of fall. It's my favorite season. These are snapshots I took on my way to ede. I wish I could lay down in those leaves. Awesome...

Finally arrived in ede. This is the most amazing shop with the most amazing owner. We played with beeswax. OMG, I need to have it. I can't wait to play with it again. I think I need to save money for it... But i want it RIGHT NOW LOL.
Look at her. She is amazing. I had so much fun that day... thank you dorenda for the wonderful time.

And her mother. How cool that she's scrapping too. And 'let me tell you: she's really talented ;)

The result of that day.
If you live in the Netherlands (or you are planning to come over here) you should visit this shop. It's such a warm place with amazing people. Exactly the way a scrapbookstore should be...
I'm going to leave know. My dd is sitting on my lab, screaming for attention.
BYE

RANDOM SATURDAY + WINNERS

I had some fun with Alara baking these Dr. Oetker (LOL) cupcakes... I truly need to know how to make those CREAMY YUMMY AMERICAN ICINGS *sigh*I noticed that I don't share any pictures of my baby's. I'm proud to be their mother and I love them soooooo much.
Dilara is playing with my bubble wrap here...

Sneaky peaky messy scraptable (it's clean now though)
I totally forgot to show you this. Remember that I was in ede 2 weeks ago? Here's the result of a make and take I took there. We played with stamps en paint... I'm getting more and more interested in stamping. So I bought some amazing paperarsty stamps...

Some random facts:
- I'm going to start participating with the AAE challenges. I finished my page for the next challenge that will be up on monday november 11th. You all need to do that challenge. It's so cool and we will have a very talented, and very sweet guest designer. I will let you know when it's up.
- I had a phone call today with Ine from scrap-i-do.nl. I will be teaching an Prima paintables class next month. Yay, I love those paintables. I will keep you updated about this.
- Tomorrow I have a scrapday with Dorenda (the owner of scrappendoejezo.nl) in ede. I think it will be a lot of fun... Will show you pics tomorrow.
- I FOUND THE MOST AMAZING AGENDA. At least it looks amazing to me LOL. Will show you a pic tomorrow... I'm so happy with it..
I decided to post more on my blog. Lately I have been so busy that I couldn't find the time or the energy to update. So when I want to post something then I have so much to share that it's not fun anymore.
Yesterday evening I cleaned my studio and I organized all my deadlines. Finally I found some peace. Now I can move forward and start doing my duties on time, for example my AAE challenges ;)
It looks like I don't scrap anymore but that's NOT true. I finished some projects for glitz, for CMF (magazine) and for All about eve. But I can't show them :(
You just need to have a little bit more patient. In the mean time I will blog some sneaks and ramble about my life and my plans.
Oh I almost forgot. These 6 ladies will get something handmade from me within 365 days. Remember girls. You should pay it forward on your blog.
And the lucky girls are (uhmm lucky??? LOL)

Now I'm off to create some more and pack some stuff for tomorrow.
