Let's Dive In The Prompts For TODAY:

The Theme:              Friends Reunion.

Story Prompt:          In the Friends Reunion we learn what each character has been up to since the last episode. Time warp... create a now and then page about yourself now and you from the past!    Even   better if you include friends from now and then.

Technique Prompt:   Use a split layout design.

My Layout:

-LOAD222 Day #28_Featured Layout by Emine Pala_Pazan-
--OUR BITTERSWEET REUNIONS--

This layout I created for this LAST day, is a really hard story to tell. Yet I intentionally choose to tell one of the hardest stories of my life, in a way that it doesn't appear that way. Healing me in the process. The story of MY many many BITTERSWEET REUNIONS with my Dear Daughters, I had to gave up for their safety. Our reality THEN & unfortunately Still our reality NOW...

With 1 Major difference though, WE ARE SAFE. And our bond is stronger then ever.

In short;
The bright colors, A lot of Splitting (the technique + the story prompt translated into the colors and THE MOST PRECIOUS MOMENT captured in these photographs, elements, techniques, words) makes up the my whole storytelling.
The fun elements makes it fit the theme perfectly. To me at least, because it is my story to tell and I choose how and in what way I want to tell it. With a lot of Gratitude in the end.

Sidenote:
I want to be honest though, it took me quite some time to finish this 12x12 page (I got also Covid for the 2nd time UGH). That wasn't the only problem. I found myself going through the stages of Grief that surfaced while I was working on this layout.
Memorykeeping is truly a healing journey. I am proud with the end result. A tribute for the love as a Mother for my Children. Very Grateful. Thank you so much @Alice for giving me the prompt I needed so much in my life, that I even didn't know I needed.

I also try to cut everything as much as I can by hand... Designed my own circle templates, no punches required here LOL. I did use a Masking Stencil, Stickers, Chipboard Gears, Metallic Relief Paste (Will link the supplies down below this post).

What really stood out to me, was the word "Reunion" + all the other ORANGE marked words. (The Bitter Part) and the Friends Tv Show, the bond they have (The Sweet Part).... Yet the other word friends is in a soft pink/red-ish color. (you will see the colors in the design itself) Why? I knew what story I wanted to tell. But not a story about friendship. Much deeper then that.

The questions was HOW could I tell this story, without really telling it? Without it being too Heavy? I decided to let the pictures and a couple of words tell the story for me.

I was also inspired by the GEARS (from the song-lyrics) to create this nice effect of a split design. Life is not a straight line right? why would my design be a straight split LOL.

-I layered the chipboard Embossed Clock onto the chipboard-
Gears, with a tiny black brad in the middle...

This is kind of how my brain works, when I get a prompt.

That's why I am really bad at the fast-paced challenges, due to the fact that I am analyzing every part of it. (I need to work on it, I know) Play with different shapes and sizes before I find the perfect way that supports the way I want to tell my story.

But I can participate with mixed-media or JunkJournalling/Art-journalling, right ? LOL....

It's almost midnight here in the Netherlands right now. So I will set the time for this blogpost to air on the correct date and time. But I do need to include a supply list.... (even created a video I need to edit)...

I WISH YOU ALL GOOD LUCK...
